Red angry people!

For a mono-red rush deck, there's a surprising amount of complexity here. Easily the best creature in the 99 is Boldwyr Intimidator just for sheer versatility. It's a political tool that can do more than just deny blocks. If one of your opponents' creatures is a Warrior, turn it into a coward! Really need to kill that Sliver Hivelord? It's not a sliver any more! Want to make some friends? Turn your neighbor's Rafiq into a Warrior and send it flying with +2/+2 and haste. The Intimidator is versatile as hell.

Another sweet combo in this deck is Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs + Warstorm Surge . Throw War's Toll into the mix and your opponent might not have any mana to pay the troll toll, which means you're getting a free bolt for each attacker they have PLUS a 3/3 body. Rock-solid defense, if I do say so myself.

It's well known to all EDH veterans, but Godo, Bandit Chieftain is pure value. The ability to grab any equipment from your deck INTO PLAY is amazing. Now, I don't run any swords, but getting Champion's Helm or Lightning Greaves for free ain't shabby.

As for Lovisa herself, she really just turns a bunch of mediocre red weenies into undercosted, hasty powerhouses. My only regret is that there are no mono-red Warrior, Berserker or Barbarian token generators (except Rally the Horde . Oops.). C'mon, WotC!

There's a suite of "Screw you, 'Good' decks!" cards in here. Stranglehold shuts down a lot of win-conditions in my playgroup, and Price of Glory and War's Toll make life hard for all those "At the end of your turn..." actions. Freakin blue mages.
