This deck has no win condition. However it does hope that through Shared Fate, the opponent deck's win condition will be sufficient.

The aim is as follows:

  1. Control your opponent in the early turns with cheap counter magic.

  2. Empty opponent's hand with discard.

  3. Dig for Shared Fate with Ponder et al.

  4. Play Shared Fate. When this happens, if the opponent's hand has no answers and they don't have a winning board position it is almost certainly game over. They will not find a way to win piloting the Shared Fate deck.

All cards are designed to be useful early game for you, and useless late game for your opponent. Such as:

  • discard: after Shared Fate, you won't be wanting your hand anyway

  • card draw: they won't find a way to win no matter how hard they look :)

  • tax-type counter magic (makes you pay (1) or (2) more): ineffective late game, especially Scent of Brine

  • The two defenders are my personal favourite cards with Shared Fate. The Fetch digs for a Shared Fate, then loses it's drawback once the decks are swapped. Wall of Junk is a good sized blocker for you early, but only lasts for one block for them before returning to OWNER'S hand.
