1-3 at FNM —June 1, 2017
Match 1: 0-2 against Jeskai Geist
First game was very close, he was on 2 life I was on 3, I had lethal next turn with a Tombstalker and 10/10 Death's Shadow. He top decks a Snapcaster and Snap-bolts me. Game 2 I had to mulligan to 5. He flashed in a Vendillion Clique at the end of my T3 which I Mana Leaked, he then dropped a Geist and I couldn't keep up
Match 2: 0-2 against UR Storm
Both games he went off on T4. If he had fizzled in either game I won next turn. Game 2 he landed a Baral T3, but my Fatal Push ate a Dispel. Tried to Spell Snare his Pyretic Ritual at the beginning of his combo but it ate a 1CMC Remand with Baral on the field.
Match 3: 2-0 against UWG Tooth and Nail
Played magic by myself, dude got flooded both games.
Match 4: 0-2 against UR Kiki-Jiki
Unfamiliar with how it worked but managed to Thoughtseize a Kiki-jiki in his opening hand. On a 1 turn clock he drew another and went off on T5. Game 2 I mulliganed to 6 and this game was a massive grind with his creatures and planeswalker keeping my creatures tapped and he chipped away with 2/1 flyers.
I didn't have the Temur Battle Rages but I feel they will make a massive difference with closing out games which is my biggest problem at the moment - I'm always 1 turn away from winning.
