Shadow creatures are tricky since they don't normally get blocked but can't block most stuff as a result. Cards like Dauthi Embrace and Stronghold Overseer help fix the problem by letting your creatures block those that don't normally have shadow or make them really weak. Skull of Orm help us maintain our Dauthi Embrace and Silas Renn, Seeker Adept help us keep Skull of Orm on the field. Our other commander Tymna the Weaver serves the purpose to keep our hand full as we play since most of our creatures will always get through. Couple of cards like Whip of Erebos and True Conviction ensure we stay healthy during the fight and Indestructibility helps keep the creature with our ciphers on it alive.
