Got the name from people at my local card shop. The deck came about as a result of someone in my local playgroup complaining, after another deck of mine went off on turn 6. Because of that, this deck is designed to include no infinite combos. Just good, big, mono-black cards. After some tinkering, I decided to use Ob Nixilis, Unshackled as the general, since he seemed to work the best. Denying your opponents tutoring unless they sac a dude and take 10 is good. Also if a number of creatures die he can get big, and he comes built in with flying and trample. Pretty scary if he swings for 30.

The deck has about 3 ways of winning. The first is hitting people with a huge X cost spell, usually Torment of Hailfire, though Exsanguinate can work too. Second, the deck can win by repeatedly saccing and reanimating (via Strands of Night) either Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Kokusho, the Evening Star. The deck can also win by hitting people with a huge Ob Nixilis, Unshackled, though I've only done that once.
