The City Council, speaking simultaneously through all three Sen Triplets today announced a new voting initiative! It is very important that all citizens vote on municipal measures such as what persons or beings shall be subject to the Council's Judgment. Be sure to vote correctly, as the Sheriff's Secret Police are notorious Grudge Keepers, and have been known to detain those who vote in ways other than those in which they have been instructed, or the hostages used to blackmail the aforementioned, for the duration of the current Martial Law. Martial Law was imposed in 1742, three years before anyone existed in this location to enforce it, and is scheduled to last until the protons comprising the writ of Martial law have experienced no less than seventeen half-lives, at which point it may be terminated by discretion of the City Council. For measures on which there are no voting instructions, votes will be taken but not counted, as we now as always persist with the blissful Illusion of Choice rather than the horrifying, existential burden of actual choice.

Alert citizens reported the appearance of a strange being, named Erika, serving at the courthouse as a Magister of Worth. This Erika-being, which resembles what an Angel might look like if they actually existed, did not perform any actual courtly functions but rather seemed to pontificate on subjects such as the Tyrant's Choice paradox and the futility of making a Plea for Power, to the amusement of gathered citizens. Those who reported this occurrence earned a stamp on their Alert Citizen cards, moving them closer to stop-sign immunity and/or the mandatory right to Vanish into Memory forever.

This just in -- Alert Citizens, once again earning stamps for their Alert Citizen cards, have noticed strange, Planar Portals in the form of old, oak doors reappearing throughout town. Through the doors streams a 'Celestial Dawn' as the observers put it, a light that passes through all things, to which all things are transparent. We remember, of course, what this terrible light portends. Sharpen whatever objects you have at hand capable of being made sharp and prepare. This shall be a False Dawn.
