I wanted to make a super mean mono-black EDH deck so that people would stop letting me play with them and I could quit the format, but I wanted to go against the grain with it. Then I saw Seizan, Perverter of Truth, and it gave me a weird idea. This deck is like Group Hug but it has devolved into Group Shanking. Seizan is a good commander for this because of the card advantage at the expense of life, which is a big theme for this deck. You'll also want to make your opponents discard cards as well, and force them to suffer from it. There aren't too many creatures in this deck, but the existing creatures serve similar functions to promote either card advantage or opponents discarding cards (except for Burnished Hart, which is ramp). There is in fact a ton of ramp and a ton of tutors in this deck as well. This is all very normal for a mono-black EDH deck. Cards such as Geth's Grimoire, Waste Not, Underworld Dreams, Quest for the Nihil Stone, and Liliana's Caress all serve the purpose of us benefiting or our opponents hurting from them discarding. Aside from abilities and creatures, there are a massive amount of spells that simply force players to discard cards. Fate Unraveler and Psychosis Crawler are also good when we draw, and Howling Mine, Indulgent Tormentor, Bloodgift Demon, and Seizan can guarantee we'll be drawing a lot. This deck is hodgepodge to some degree but really hates on your opponent and will keep drawing and discarding through multiple engines.
