Hands up if you think dragons are the best tribe.

My rules for this deck: no Non-Dragon creatures.

The mana base is not optimal, but to get all the best lands for 5 colours was going to push the deck into the $1500 mark. And for what? To sometimes get Scion out a turn earlier. As it is I can normally cast Scion turn 5, turn 4 if I am lucky.

Dragons a a pretty good toolbox, especially with the Dragonlords. They can bordwipe or be target removal, cause discard to anoy that control player or just prevent them casting spells on your turn and this is before you look at them as a 6/6 flying lizard.

The deck is built around using Scion to search out the dragon required for the situation, and then to reanimate the now discarded card. I tried to pick dragons that have activated abilities or ones that trigger in combat rather than ETB effects in order to get most value out of Scion.

Given that dragons are not the easiest to hard cast, I have included the backup of Quicksilver Amulet and Belbe's Portal so if Scion is out of the picture or I have no reanimation spells I can still get some dragons out.

There are lots of win conditions in this deck, the main ones centre around Utvara Hellkite and Scourge of Valkas spawning loads and loads of dragon tokens with SoV or Dragon Tempest on the battlefield is a quick way to win the game. Other favourite dragons to fetch are Hellkite Overlord and Atarka, World Render.

I included Dragonstorm which, thanks to Hypersonic Dragon, can be cast in the end of my opponent's turn to maximise its effectiveness.

I also had to include Sarkhan Unbroken, sure the odds of being able to activate it are remote but since his ultimate is an instant win (up to 625 damage from Scourge of Valkas triggers) in this deck it would be a shame to not include it. There's no kill like overkill.

I am considering adding Mycosynth Lattice to combo with Hellkite Tyrant but I'm not sure if that would be fun for anyone...

Please don't recommend Worldgorger Dragon + Animate Dead combo, trying to avoid infinite combos.
