Hey, they had some darksteel/darksteel-pendant.jpgDarksteel Pendants at the card shop if you're interested. I think they were mixed in with the Urza's block stuff.
How would ravnica-city-of-guilds/savra-queen-of-the-golgari.jpgSavra, Queen of the Golgari, guildpact/sanguine-praetor.jpgSanguine Praetor and worldwake/butcher-of-malakir.jpgButcher of Malakir all work on the stack?
First, you sacrifice something to guildpact/sanguine-praetor.jpgSanguine Praetor. Since the sacrifice is part of the cost, abilities that trigger from a creature being sacrificed would resolve before the ability resolves. Think of it like this: you have to sacrifice that land to zendikar/harrow.jpgHarrow even if it gets countered.
You get to choose the order that the triggered abilities go on the stack. Remember, the first ability to go on the stack will be the last to resolve. So, for example, you could force a sacrifice and/or gain life from ravnica-city-of-guilds/savra-queen-of-the-golgari.jpgSavra, Queen of the Golgari then force a sacrifice from worldwake/butcher-of-malakir.jpgButcher of Malakir.
Finally, guildpact/sanguine-praetor.jpgSanguine Praetor's ability resolves and all creatures with the same converted mana cost as the creature you sacrificed to pay for the ability are destroyed.
Thanks I really appreciate it. I thought it would happen like this but I was hoping I was wrong and could somehow make guildpact/sanguine-praetor.jpgSanguine Praetor go first.
I added a stack to the maybe board. Let me know what you think should be in, and preferably for what.
From the maybeboard, I'm liking urza-s-destiny/gamekeeper.jpgGamekeeper, mirrodin/plated-slagwurm.jpgPlated Slagwurm, zendikar/scute-mob.jpgScute Mob, and prophecy/thresher-beast.jpgThresher Beast.
I'd probably replace ravnica-city-of-guilds/golgari-signet.jpgGolgari Signet, fifth-dawn/mephidross-vampire.jpgMephidross Vampire, dissension/seal-of-doom.jpgSeal of Doom, and mercadian-masques/snuff-out.jpgSnuff Out.
However, this is all based on just browsing it over. I might wait until some playtesting to replace anything.
needs tenth-edition/grave-pact.jpgGrave Pact so bad.
zendikar/vines-of-vastwood.jpgVines of Vastwood is my mantra. Instant speed evasion for one mana is a definite yes in my books, especially in EDH. worldwake/canopy-cover.jpgCanopy Cover is also nice for your general.
Thanks for the help. I'll see if I can track down a tenth-edition/grave-pact.jpgGrave Pact and a worldwake/canopy-cover.jpgCanopy Cover. I have a zendikar/vines-of-vastwood.jpgVines of Vastwood but I'm not sure what to take out for it.
