Description

First try on Saskia. I went for a token theme. It's kind of clunky, but I think it will work. Suggestions will be appreciated.

Despite the price, it's a budget build. That's why there's no Earthcraft or Doubling Season, for example. Keep that in mind.

I would put in hero of bladehold and breath of fury.

Those two cards combo into infinite attack phases and growing X/1 tokens with an unblocked field.

Thanks man!

I would definitely run Grenzo's Ruffians, Blade of Selves, Dragon Throne of Tarkir, Gruul War Chant, Cryptolith Rite, oh so many amazing naya token cards.

Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, okay I'll stop.

Hey Simon_Williamson, I've been considering Blade of Selves for a while now, and now shall give it a go. But the gem in your suggestions was Cryptolith Rite! I was badly in need of a mana fixer and enabler. The rest of the cards, although good, don't find room in my theme because I've already chosen my finishers.

Thanks you! +1 if you liked the list

I'm running a similar deck to yours except i'm using Tana, the Bloodsower + Ravos, Soultender but same colors. Check out my deck list if you see anything that strikes your fancy! Got my up +1! If you like mine, I'd be grateful for a +1! Cheers!

Have you thought about Second Harvest?

I'm kind of curious why would you not run Tana, the Bloodsower in this? She makes tokens, and with two cards you are already running, Breath of Fury and Fires of Yavimaya you have infinite combat steps. I run this in my rendition of Saskia, would love any advice as well Kneel before Saskia!

Well vikinguy, Tana, unlike Brimaz and Hero of Bladedhold, requires combat damage to go off. That's why I did not include it. I will check your build (:

I have a deck very similar to this with Saskia as my commander and i run Both Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Aurelia, the Warleader to deal more damage via my tokens, also i run a Mikaeus, the Lunarch, Gavony Township and Titania's boon to put many 1/1 counters on my creatures

Also adding Nylea, God of the Hunt & Heliod, God of the Sun would be quite good

Skullclamp is a must for card draw, attach it to a token killing it and drawing 2 cards. Draw 2 for 1.

I'm copying this verbatim from a post I made in someone else's Saskia deck:

It's Saskia, so I must suggest the following:

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

Quest for Pure Flame

Dictate of the Twin Gods

Gratuitous Violence

Furnace of Rath

These cards combo so well with Saskia it's not even funny. With 2 of them on the field, Saskia attacking player A, with player B as the chosen target, will end up dealing 48 damage to player B if she's unblocked.

3 combat damage doubled twice to 12 combat damage, triggers 12 damage to player B, doubled twice to 48. GG.

Also,

Inquisitor's Flail

Bitter Feud

Overblaze

Curse of Bloodletting

I've got a token deck with Saskia in it (she's not the general), and I made sure I at least had 2 of these doublers in (Gisela and the Quest, I didn't want the symmetric ones). Check it out if you like, it's in my profile.

If you run both Purphoros and Darien, you need to add goblin bombardment. Sac a token, target yourself, trigger darien, trigger purph, repeat till you win.

Nintura - That's fantastic. Darien is now going in my deck.

Akkrand I almost pulled it off last night too! But the person playing a Narset deck managed to combo off, I was just a single creature short of killing everyone.

I see why people would recommend Nylea, God of the Hunt, but without the devotion, the other gods are better in terms of their ability. When you're swinging wide, Vigilance from Heliod, God of the Sun, Iroas, God of Victory's abilities, the durability of Athreos, god of the passage, and the ping off of Purphoros, God of the Forge are all better picks.

The greatest thing is getting devotion from Saskia the Unyielding for all of them

arthurxisde check out my Unyielding And Unstoppable deck as well, I think we could help one another out!
