This deck is still a work-in-progress, as I finish figuring out what cards I already own that I want to put in the deck and what cards I need to buy for it (I'd like to not have to spend too much money on the cards I don't already own though...)

Not entirely sure what all of the strategies in this deck are, but I think most of them derive from choosing yourself when you cast Saskia , but I suppose most of the synergies involve gaining or losing large amounts of life, triggering things like Sanguine Bond , Vizkopa Guildmage's activated ability, and Defiant Bloodlord

Still looking for a couple cards to cut so that I can make room for some essential stuff like removal, ramp, and card draw and I am accepting suggestions, whether it's a card I don't have but should, or a card I have but shouldn't.

Lose/Gain A Lotta Life

Massive life gain:

• Debt to the Deathless
• Firesong and Sunspeaker (after casting a red damage-based board wipe)
• Rhox Faithmender
• Sun Droplet can gain a lot over a long period of time
• Children of Korlis
• Tainted Sigil

Outlets to pay life into:

• Vilis, Broker of Blood
• Greed
• Treasonous Ogre
• Wall of Blood
• Fire Covenant

Evra, Halcyon Witness fits into both categories, since exchanging your life total with Evra's power does count as losing and gaining life depending on which direction the exchange goes.

Deal Damage to Creatures

Ways to deal large amounts of damage to one or more creatures:

• Banefire
• Blasphemous Act
• Comet Storm
• Fire Covenant
• Magmaquake
• Star of Extinction

This damage can then be capitalized upon by using something like Arcbond or Repercussion or one of the creatures that have an affect similar to "Whenever this creature is dealt damage, it deals that much damage to an opponent," which includes:

• Boros Reckoner
• Mogg Maniac
• Spitemare
• Truefire Captain
• Stuffy Doll

Any of these creatures can also be given infect using Phyresis or Tainted Strike

Choosing yourself with Saskia also means that you can redirect the damage dealt to you onto one of your creatures using Pariah or Gideon's Sacrifice . I should probably include Pariah's Shield as well, but I don't already own that, so I might not. Other creatures that trigger off of being dealt damage are:

• High Priest of Penance
• Hornet Nest
• Ripjaw Raptor

You can also give one of the creatures that can deal the damage they take to any target ( Boros Reckoner and Spitemare ) lifelink with

• Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord , Vizkopa Guildmage , Basilisk Collar , Whip of Erebos , or True Conviction

and indestructible using

• Unbreakable Formation , Make a Stand , Boros Charm , or Darksteel Plate

to gain an infinite amount of life by continuously having the creature deal damage to itself.

Don't Die / Damage Prevention

Here's some cards that allow you to not die, with most of them leaving you at 1 life, allowing you to potentially win with Near-Death Experience

• Angel of Grace
• Angel's Grace
• Deflecting Palm
• Selfless Squire

And here's some cards that prevent damage, mostly so that you can use Command the Dreadhorde to get everything from all graveyards and just prevent all the damage that it would deal. Deflecting Palm can fit into this list as long as you have Firesong and Sunspeaker to give the deflecting palm lifelink so you simultaneously take the damage and gain the life.

• The Wanderer

Near-Death Experience

This is basically just a list of cards that allow you to get to exactly 1 life so that you can win with Near-Death Experience

• Angel's Grace (if you are taking lethal damage)
• Angel of Grace (same as Angel's Grace)
• Treasonous Ogre (if your life is a multiple of 3 plus 1)
• Wall of Blood
• Fire Covenant

Gonna also include Soulgorger Orgg here because I will probably include that card in the deck at some point but he is not currently in it because I can't find my copy of it... Same goes for Blood Celebrant (use the ability to add so that you can keep activating the ability)

Swap life

Similar to Near-Death Experience , these cards allow you to just make your life arbitrarily low and then give your life to another player

• Repay in Kind
• Reverse the Sands
• Soul Conduit

Also, shoutout to Lutachris23 on their Saskia deck, Saskia the Unyielding Suicide -- Budget EDH that uses some of the same strategies as my deck. I tried to make a "pick yourself with Saskia's ability" deck before but I wasn't very happy with how I built it, so finally I am rebuilding it (because I still have most of the cards I bought when I made it the first time). Lutachris23's list did give me some ideas I hadn't thought of before and I did reference it a couple of times in decision-making for my deck.
