This is a deck challenge given to me by a friend of mine at my Friday Night Magic group. Using Sasaya as the commander. The odd, technical commander made me ponder. And that was when I realised I could make a deck that was pure, wild, unbridled nature. Completely free of the bonds of other mana.

Naturally I want to use Sasaya's Essence, so I ensured any land fetches I put into this deck was going to put the lands into my hand. Cards such as Roots of Life, Nature's Wrath, Nature's Will, Primal Order and Hum of the Radix are cards that punish the enemy of true, free nature: blue mana, black mana and disgusting little artifacts. Wild [air is a representation of the wild nature; that this deck is a pack in itself.

Wolves, elementals, an incarnation and a few dinosaurs are the most powerful beings in nature and also in Magic, especially for green. Since I am including Verdeloth the Ancient, I am going to include further treefolk in the future. Fang of the Pack gives the pack an extra boost. Tornado Elemental and Soul of the Harvest are there to cause my opponents grief. If all else fails, or if my opponents get too powerful, the Great Aurora will hopefully put a halt to their plans.

The Goddess Gaea is the Earth itself. She is the Mother of Nature. The oldest being in creation. Therefore cards bearing her name have been put into this deck, hence Sasaya, High Priestess of Gaea. Sasaya utilises the power of Gaea in order to multiply the amount of mana.

This is my first challenge deck but I am more than willing to do another. Building this deck was fun! Hope you like it too.
