The under 20 deck collection introduces, Salem 1692. Welcome to the witch trials.

This deck runs the adorable combo of Festering Newt , Bubbling Cauldron , and Bogbrew Witch , alongside Graf Rats , and Midnight Scavengers (which scavenge for Rats and Newts). Unlike usual combo decks that want to force the combo, this deck is far more relaxed. It is here to be enjoyed, and the cost of the deck is so low it can be enjoyed by everyone.

The deck has a running theme of sacrifice and reward. The Bubbling Cauldron of course sacrifices creatures (sorry Newt, it is often you...), and the Viscera Seer sacrifices creatures as well to help you find the cards you're looking for, and finally Grim Backwoods lets you sacrifice creatures for card gain. Grim Haruspex is awesome in this deck of course, as he lets you draw off of the sacrificed creatures (but not off of the sacrificed eldrazi spawn unfortunately, but the Seer can still use them, you can sacrifice them to the Backwoods, or you can pop them in the pot!). Catacomb Sifters ability isn't as strong as the Haruspex of course, but he does come with his own little self sacrificing critter, and can also trigger off of the Blisterpods wee little critter as well. So together, they make a really strong team.

This deck loves death so much it even runs four Undying Evil. This can of course be used to protect your Haruspex and Witch, but can also be used if you want another trigger from something. Want that eldrazi spawn but want your blisterpod back? Or perhaps you want to put the same newt in the pot twice?

This is just a cute little deck to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously. It's here to have have with. However, it is still balanced, it have a nice mana curve to it, it's complex in fun ways, and can certainly put up a fight! It's a real joy, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, running cards that very rarely have homes.
