This Deck should start doing work in Turn 4, then it will blast out quickly, giving you tons of options and synergies each turn.

By turn 6-9 you should have a swarm of flyers, harrasing your oppnents and/or some giant beaters and/or a position where you can control the game with little threats, while always drawing into more gas.

This will be realised by Sais Main ability, additional thopter multipliers like Sharding Sphinx or Efficiant Construction and tutoring or cheating in Darksteel Forge and Platinum Angel.

Sai provides you with a draw option in itself but Skullclamp and Bident of Thassa are a lot more efficient and can both be tutored for easily.

A great synergy to control the board is Opposition and Unwinding Clock, letting you tap out any threat each turn or the classic Darksteel Forge/Nevinyrral's Disk combo, that blows up the board each turn with your artifacts surviving.

Wincons are:

  • A Thopter overrun with Coat of arms and/or other Token Booster
  • Control the board while attacking with giant Beaters like Altar Golem or Arcbound Crusher
  • Winclocks like Mechanized Production & Throne of the God-Pharaoh (if you manage to control the board enough)

Surprisingly, the decks biggest problem its quickness, having 10+ permanents by turn 5 will always make the other players believe, that you are the number one threat and therefore focussing their resources against you. So the key to success is, to play low key and make sure to use your resources wisely, as a wrath or a few key removals early in the game will set you pretty far behind. Keep in mind that the game usually is not decided until turn 10+. By then you should have enough ramp and control to get to a dominant board position within one or two turns, so you don't need to hurry for position in turns 1-7. If you decide to go for the win, make sure that you have access to Darksteel Forge and a counter spell before committing to swing big. It will also be a lot easier to do this later in the game, as your opponents used most of their answers on each other and should have lower life totals in general.
