Sideboard

Maybeboard

Creature (4)

I am looking for general feedback/sideboarding advice. Keep in mind this deck is built semi-budget.

Inspired by this deck, with a few tweaks. (Specifically the addition of Felidar Guardian.)

The game plan starts the same as UW Emeria: stall the game and accumulate value. However, the end game diverges from that plan.

  1. Combo out with Sun Titan and two Saheeli Rai, which gives you infinite hasty Sun Titans. This is the default plan since this combo is resilient to removal (you can still combo out even if the Saheeli Rai are in the graveyard).

  2. Incidentally win with the copycat combo. You will often win the long game, so there is no reason to go all-in on this plan, although there are some cases where this will be your only win-con. (Excessive graveyard hate games 2/3 and the Valakut matchup come to mind.) However, its mere presence often pressures the opponent to waste resources and you can win the long game. Do not be afraid to sideboard out some of the Guardians in favor of other cards.

  3. Reach 7 plains and value your opponent out of the game with Emeria, The Sky Ruin. This is the backup plan, but it is still very effective. Like Twin, this deck can win without the combo kill.
