My creatures fear no Reaper!

This deck was a shot in the dark, im not used to building OR playing this type of deck. But so far its worked well.

Basing the deck around Athreos, God of Passage's ability, I tried to make sure I used creatures that utilized some of theses three abilities...

~ Sacrificing my own creatures~ Abilities that trigger upon death~ Abilities that trigger upon coming into play

And overall creatures that make my opponents really consider taking the 3 life. Not to mention whether or not to kill my creatures to deal with his ability...

Let me know how it looks, any help will be appreciated.

Remember to UPVOTE +1 if you like it

Champion of Stray Souls could potentially be of use here in this deck as a way to sac creatures with dying affects and bring back creatures with entering affects to the field.

Just recently found a great card for both hand and graveyard hate in one v one. Identity Crisis Yes it's a 6 drop but the amount of pain it can give your opponent is unbearably hilarious. Anyone in commander with unlimited hand size tricks, which is practically everyone, suffers hard.

Grave Pact , Martyr's Bond , Butcher of Malakir , and like jerrbone15 said, Dictate of Erebos all work very well with Athreos, God of Passage .

Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble work well as far as overall life total advantage goes.

Phyrexian Plaguelord is good as far as creature removal goes, Viscera Seer helps you get the cards you need, and Sadistic Hypnotist keeps the opponents' hands in check.

And Erebos, God of the Dead prevents your work from being undone.

Thanks! All good ideas and I've got the majority in my collection. I just have to figure out what's worth taking out and switch to make the deck better....

Mine and yours are two different decks even though they are infact the same commander.

You may or may not wish to check out my lands (my deck is heavily black, so my basic count is skewed) but you may wish to view and adjust yours accordingly

Also, Harvester of Souls is my favorite creature of all time

Athreos' Shadowborn Apostles

Dictate of Erebos , Grave Pact , Killing Wave ! I definitely recommend these three for this deck.

Cool deck- I like EDH decks that can make use of lots of little utility dudes. One nitpick- if there's not a joke I am missing in here, I think this should be named "Sacrificial LamBs."

With all the ways to kill off your own creatures why not look at some morbid triggers?

Skirsdag High Priest would give you a 5/5 flier which makes them think even more about taking that 3 points from your general.

Reaper from the Abyss gives an added punch to all your sacrificing, and on a decent sized body.

Tragic Slip is some great spot removal for those big threats, not even a Blightsteel Colossus can stand up to it.

Malicious Affliction, two Doom Blade for the price of one.

@drpeppercan: thank you for the great suggestions. I like the idea of morbid and i have most of the ones you suggested. the demon, [Reaper from the Abyss] is a little mana pricey for the way i play this deck. but the rest i really like.

OH, and Pariah's Shield. Especially when you can stick it on our little buddy Stuffy Doll.

I think I would drop Kor Cartographer for Solemn Simulacrum. Same mana cost but not as restricted to white, can find swamps as well as plains, same power/toughness, and draws a card too.

3 ETB cards that (imo) your opponents' should take the damage for and not let you cast again:

Big Game Hunter great removal on a stick.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel hits all and gives all to you.

Mogis's Marauder you mentioned playing elf decks and this would allow damage to push through.

And you don't actually put your commander in the mainboard decklist, he's already counted, so I'd take him out to make your deck 100 even.
