For the longest time, she lingered in my binder. I tried to find ways to put her to use, but she always got cut from any casual deck that I tried to build. Then, I was introduced to Commander.

And Teysa was born.

She came in the in-between hours. Her original attendants lacked finesse, and the ideas of grandeur that I knew she could attain were mired down in mediocrity.

But grow she did, and as I grew her servants, drawing from across the AEther the champions of faraway places, the unique, and the ornate. My love for her only grew in the face of her stony determination. She would not even accept death as victory, for she knew that obliteration meant total submission.

She grew, and she burned the world around her.

And in it's place, she built her church, a testament to the grandiose and lengthy nature of her journey. And one by one, her enemies laid their arms at her feet. And her allies laid down their lives.

All pay tithes to the Scion of Orzhova.

This is my Teysa, Orzhov Scion EDH deck. This deck is my first EDH deck (though by far not my only one), and I am still as much in love with her as I was 4 years ago. The deck continues to grow, and evolve, as I find better cards to suit her. Her current play style is suited to Token Combo/Control, but it is very easy to move things around to open up other routes.
