Sideboard

Maybeboard

This deck is a work in progress and needs lots of cuts

On top of cuts needed to make this deck 60 cards, a 'maybe board' of 35 cards and a side board of 30 cards exist that need to be filtered through. I appreciate any criticism to make this deck as viable as possible.

This deck is optimized to use the best vehicles and best vehicle support cards in Kaladesh/Aether Revolt.

Things that people may question or comment on that are painfully obvious.
1) This is not a viable deck until it is cut down to 60 cards with a 15 card sideboard. This deck is a prototype. I have seen a few Kaladesh vehicle decks out there but none that incorporate the banning of the very OP Smuggler's Copter and both Kaladesh/Aether Revolt support cards.

2) Because it has to be trimmed down, the number of copies of a specific card in this deck will not be accurate until the deck is an ideal size (60 cards). For example, one could ask what the hell I'm doing with 21 creatures and 20 vehicles. Or why are you playing seven 1 drops? Herp derp. That is because the deck is not at ideal size. In fact, most of the cuts will be on the creature/vehicle level.

3) ..Thus said, an ideal amount of creatures would be 3-12, vehicles would be 12-20, instants and sorceries would be 6-8, enchantments 3-6 and lands 20. Because I curve out at 4 cmc, I run 20 lands in this deck. Other non-land card types are evaluated with that factored into play.

4) I will not know the correct mana base or ratio until the non-land cards are brought down to 40.

5) The sideboard will be subject to the standard meta. There are a few more cards from either Kaladesh/Aether Revolt sets that I could include in here but I think the current list will be able to adequately match up with what would be potentially thrown at this deck. It will probably change over time.

6) This deck is very weak to artifact removal/control. I can name a card in each color that effectively deals with artifacts/vehicles which are bound to be sideboard material at a minimal in match ups.

Notable cards/combos
Start Your Engines, Siege Modification, and Peacewalker Colossus bring your vehicle(s) to life at a cheap cost. Consulate Dreadnought + Siege Modification means on Turn 3 you can be swinging with a 10/11 with first strike; lol wut? Or how about a Turn 4 13/14 with first strike and trample due to Built to Smash? ... yeah.

Sram's Expertise is brutal in a deck like this because the 1/1 servos can crew most vehicles in the deck, chump block, and you can play ANY card you want whatsoever with 3 or less cmc afterwards for free. BTW - in case you haven't noticed, the majority of cards in this deck are 3 cmc or less.

Built to Last and Built to Smash are cheap + dirty combat tricks that add either aggro value or combat advantage to this deck.

Scrap Trawler works well with the higher cmc vehicles. Recurring Hope of Ghirapur anyone?

Hope of Ghirapur by itself is very controlly in nature and can shut down opponents if they don't have any creatures. Pair with Galvanic Bombardment, Hungry Flames, or Lightning Axe for creature removal to completely shut them down. As noted above a large number of artifacts in this deck can bring Scrap Trawler back to the battlefield from the graveyard.

Fairgrounds Warden works as good removal if you can keep it on the board. Crewing vehicles instead of attacking/blocking makes the chances of that happening better. Again most vehicles in this deck have a crew of 1 (Aethersphere Harvester, Untethered Express, Ovalchase Dragster, Sky Skiff).

I do not believe that there are any other Kaladesh/Aether Revolt cards that could be added or considered to make this a better deck. If I am wrong, please let me know in the comments down below.
