This deck is capable of going on the offense early on with Soldier of the Pantheon , Boros Reckoners, and Tajic, Blade of the Legion in combination with access to various burn spells / combat tricks such as Boros Charm on a 7/7 Tajic, Blade of the Legion . This isn't the main aim of the deck however, it's just an option.

The idea is to establish a stable board state with Boros Reckoners providing problems/good value trades with the opponent, Soldier of the Pantheon and Blind Obedience offering some life gain and slowing opponents down, and then drop Assemble the Legion / Elspeth, Sun's Champion to win the game. With Spear of Heliod and Purphoros, God of the Forge all of the creatures can be pumped, and with 2 damage every time a new creature enters the battlefield, this is going to drop life totals extremely fast with Assemble the Legion and Elspeth, Sun's Champion's +1 on the board.

Removal: Warleader's Helix offers some reach, but is also there as a utility burn spell which can gain life if an aggressive deck is putting pressure on the life total, so it's there to help stabilise. Mizzium Mortars offers a nice one sided board wipe. Elspeth, Sun's Champion can boardwipe the nasties the weaker burn spells can't. Chained to the Rocks is just a nice staple removal. Magma Jet is there to offer some nice scrying to ensure I hit lands on time/can remove small creatures/make trades where I need to get an extra 2 damage down. Spear of Heliod also offers nice re-usable removal for anything that gets hits in.

Path of Bravery is there as an experimental 1 of anthem which offers nice finishing at the same time as offering some stability whilst attacking with tokens in the form of lifegain.
