This deck is an attempt to make a hybrid group slug (that favors me) and aggro deck. I certainly welcome feedback or opinions.

Game Plan:

The goal is to chip away at players lives with the group slug/stax elements, then finish it with creatures. I have only just started playing this deck at my local shop in a casual (though not budget) meta so it'll still need more testing to fine tune it.

Elements:

Group Slug/Stax: Ruric Thar, the Unbowed , Mana Barbs, Citadel of Pain , Scab-Clan Berserker , Cindervines , War's Toll , Zo-Zu the Punisher , Burning-Tree Shaman make it difficult to cast spells and either slows the game down or speeds up the clock. Possibility Storm , Magus of the Moon and Stranglehold makes it even more difficult to search for answers.

Control: Bane of Progress , Blasphemous Act , Chaos Warp , Decimate , Scavenging Ooze , Ulvenwald Tracker , Thrashing Brontodon , and Gruul Ragebeast control threatening elements on the board.

Aggro: Anger , Ogre Battledriver , Rhythm of the Wild , Urabrask the Hidden as haste enablers for Hydra Omnivore , Inferno Titan , Pathbreaker Ibex , Etali, Primal Storm , Ghalta, Primal Hunger .

Ramp: A mix of mana-dorks like Birds of Paradise , Elvish Mystic , Fyndhorn Elves , Joraga Treespeaker , Llanowar Elves , Priest of Titania , Somberwald Sage , Zhur-Taa Druid , and land based ramp such as Wood Elves , Sword of the Animist , Sakura-Tribe Elder , Solemn Simulacrum and Farhaven Elf .

Draw and Tutor: Creatrue based card draw with Elemental Bond , Garruk's Packleader , Guardian Project , Lifecrafter's Bestiary , Primordial Sage , Regal Force , Shamanic Revelation , Soul of the Harvest . Some tutoring with Green Sun's Zenith , Gamble , Fierce Empath and Eldritch Evolution .

Protection: Some protection primarily for the commander with Darksteel Plate , Heroic Intervention , Lightning Greaves , Temur Sabertooth , Heroic Intervention .

Utilities: Champion of Rhonas and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma to cheat creatures out, Dualcaster Mage and Wild Ricochet for redirecting fun, Scavenging Ooze for graveyards, Helm of the Host and Basilisk Collar for the dream of equipping onto Ruric.

Challenges:

The biggest challenge seems to be balancing the two styles of play into a smooth flow. Land destruction is not played in my meta so land punishment is in the form of zozu and the red enchantments. I'm reluctant to fully commit to mana dorks for ramp since it can be difficult to recover from board wipes, but at the same time the land ramps will make Citadel of Pain , Manabarbs and Zo-Zu the Punisher hurt myself more (can be argued that its only 3 of the 99 cards hurt me so its not too bad).

Though im not a budget deck, I'm not looking at spending too much on the deck. I limit individual card costs to $10 but would be willing to spend up to $20 for key cards that are invaluable for the deck.

Looking for feedback, opinions and ideas to fine tune the deck.
