Gday, loving this deck!What would you recommend as some budget ideas versus Primeval Titan and Bonfire of the Damned ?

@tridman

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. As for the budget questions, Bonfire of the Damned can be replaced by Devil's Play . Although it isn't quite as good, it's a great mana dump that acts as both removal and a finisher.

Primeval Titan is tricky to replace as he allows me to ramp for 2 every turn and gets me Kessig Wolf Run . If you take him out, maybe add 1 more Solemn Simulacrum to get a bit more land search. Some potential replacements are Moltensteel Dragon , Ruric Thar, the Unbowed or Terra Stomper . However, my favourite replacements for him are Urabrask the Hidden and Vigor . Take your pick of those.

I think that a 1-off of Llanowar Elves is wasted space. I agree, you should replace it with another Bonfire of the Damned , or perhaps even another Solemn Simulacrum . Like you said the land pull is handy, and the possible extra draw is nothing to sneeze at around turn 4 or 5. Test play it and see which you like better, but that's my 2 cents. +1 here also, just obnoxious! :P

Really nice deck. I like it. You can add black color if you want it can be really good. For example more removal spells like Go for the Throat etc. :) +1

Love it. Well most of it. I know you say it's your favorite late game creature but I really feel like Bogardan Hellkite would be better than Balefire Dragon . Simply because it can give so much resilience in the control match-up. +1!

I don't like Bogardan Hellkite so much. It costs 1 more mana than Balefire Dragon , so I can't drop it on turn 3. This deck is all about dominating the battlefield for as long as it takes to knock out my opponent, and Bogardan Hellkite isn't great at that: it deals 5 damage when it enters the battlefield, then just sits there. It's only a 5/5 as well. On the other hand, Balefire Dragon is a 6/6 Bonfire of the Damned that I can use every turn, meaning that my opponent will rarely be able keep their creatures for long. Against control, it's not great either; most good control decks won't allow me to get to 8 mana until turn 5-6, if at all, so the Hellkite can be a bit of a dead draw. Ruric Thar, the Unbowed is my back up plan for control match-ups.

Very nice deck! I playtested it myself and I won the time I playtested, but I have to say you gave me a challenge. I don't suppose you use something like OCTGN or anything? I would love to play against someone who has a good deck such as this.

What's OCTGN? I've never heard of it.

OCTGN is a program that you can use to duel people online. Kind of like tappedout's playtester, but the each person is control of their own decks and whatnot.

Cool, I'll have a look at that when I get a bit of time. I'll give you a heads-up if I do. Cheers for the +1 by the way.

Yeah, please do. Send me a message when you get around to it and we can duel then. And oh yeah, thanks for the +1 on Swarm and Conquer.
