I'm a wrestling fan and was trying to build a new commander deck. A friend of mine suggested making a wrestling themed deck so I did it. What better way than a Royal Rumble Wrestler Tribal EDH deck! 30 creatures that look like/resemble other wrestlers. Heels and babyfaces going toe to toe with the rest.

Even though Emcee is from the Unhinged set and is not legal, make sure your playgroup is okay with this deck and having him in it. It really ties the deck together for the theme and flavor.

The house rule my playgroup agreed on is you can have Emcee be in your starting hand as the first card. Since he is the announcer, you can not play any creatures until he is out. After he is out you only announce the first two creatures as they do in a Royal Rumble. If someone counters him and you really wanna commit to the act, you gotta scoop. How are you gonna have a royal rumble without an officiating ref?

Alternatively, you could agree on the Emcee being on the field already and stick with the first two creatures getting the buff.

There are a few tricks in this deck but it is nothing game breaking and there are no infinite combos.

The maybeboard is full of other lands to substitute the regular ones with to make the deck in your favor. I made this deck for under 40 bucks back in 2017 and didn't wanna spend a bunch of lands so do what you gotta do to make it work if you ever wanna make your own.

When a new set comes out I will update the list of cards that look like wrestlers and add them to the maybe board.

The Few Tricks and Other Fun Ideas Show

Tutor for legendary creatures with Captain Sisay + Umbral Mantle

I don't know what to call this one Feldon of the Third Path + Illusionist's Bracers which would help Kresh the Bloodbraided + Brion Stoutarm or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord ability.

To keep Crusader of Odric strong you have Grave Titan , Ravos, Soultender , Sun Titan , and Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts to help generate tokens and bring back creatures. This could also go with Feldon of the Third Path equipped with Illusionist's Bracers trick. Hell, use Feldon of the Third Path equipped with Umbral Mantle and copy Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder to give whatever creature double strike.

After you get a creature big enough through tokens or creatures, you could attach and use a chair Dragon Throne of Tarkir , Overwhelming Stampede , and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to really hurt someone.

In a perfect hand or game you can do a lot of damage by having Gratuitous Violence , Pandemonium , Warstorm Surge , True Conviction out in any combination.

You never know which wrestler might try and pull a fast one by bringing a weapon or some item to help them gain the advantage. For instance, one of the heels might have sneaked in some Blinding Powder or grabbed a chair Dragon Throne of Tarkir which could cause a frenzy inside the ring. The other equipments are standard wrestler attire.
