"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and mutate you into a frog-lizard-crab-wizard thing."
This deck is designed off of synergy, and can keep a board presence in even the most aggressive of metagames. The clincher is Gyre Sage. Nearly every creature evolves the Sage once in one way or another. (Either by direct cast or by scavenge.) Lotleth Troll is a fast creature, tramples and regenerates. The Sage gives me enough mana to pay for practically anything, but why tap a 6/7 for green? People associate the Sage with mana ramp, but that is not the case in this deck. It becomes a fast and aggressive creature, can fly and double strike with Ajani or even get a counter added to her. Silverblade Paladin and Loxodon Smiter are there for the mid game push into victory. Abrupt Decay removes threats like Boros Reckoner or other important combo pieces. I challenged myself to not use Thragtusk, purely on premise. Suggestions are appreciated and welcomed, thanks everyone!
Made some changes. Don't have the deck on me, so I can't quite recall all of them. I know I took out Merciless Eviction and Immortal Servitude, as well as sideboarding Mikaeus, the Lunarch. Took out Sigarda. I mainboarded in two Selesnya Charms and I can't remember what else. I'll have it updated soon.
