Sideboard

Hello everyone and welcome to a deck I like to call Rite of Scales.

first off lets begin with the name sake cards and theme for this deck. Winding Constrictor, Rite of Passage, and Hardened Scales set the tone of this deck. The obvious +1 counter synergy is there and while it looks a little underwhelming at first we can do some really cool things.

The most explosive being a combination of either Winding Constrictor/Hardened Scales with Rite of Passage and a Walking Ballista. Ballista can infinitely target it's self to produce an infinite number of counters. Pretty much making it GG if Ballista is allowed to touch field.

Aside from Walking Ballista our other creatures that help us abuse the +1 synergy are Hangarback Walker, Servant of the Scale,and Plaxcaster Frogling. Our Walkers can get absurdly large and as long as it dosn't get Path to Exiled. Any Other kind of removal will create another equally bad situation for our opponent. Servant of the Scale is better and better as the game goes on and can act as a decent body early game. Plaxcaster Frogling is just an all around natural choice for the deck. If we get the ideal set up of turn 1 scales 2 constrictor then playing the frogling on 3 is still a 5/5 for 3 that can give itself hexproof. The other great thing is it can really help boost our other creatures entering after it with graft.

Still talking the relm of creatures we have some what could be considered "win more" cards and while that's true it gives us some top end coverage to explode in the mid to late game. Corpsejack Menace is an insane multiplayer for our counter synergy doubling all of our counter procs. Vorel of the Hull Clade can also quickly escalate situations in our favor.

for Sorcery's we have Traverse the Ulvenwald. Early game it provides the mana fixing and mid to late game we can just tutor up our ballista to win the game.

For instant removal we have Abrupt Decay and Fatal Push. Also we have 2 copies of Heroic Intervention for world wipe and enchantment hate that our Plaxcaster Frogling won't help us with.

side board could use some work but you can't knock early game hand hate and combo breakers.

///EDIT///

Swapped out Servant of the Scale for Avatar of the Resolute. When it comes to beating down our opponents this is just a cheap efficient way of punching threw chump blockers, it is also a strong enough threat to warrant removal from our opponent making it easier to sneak in a win with Walking Ballista
