The Mage stood in the center of the forest clearing, examining the local vegetation in search of some odd quality. He looked around and saw that the plant life neared a herd of fallen beasts. Someone had been through here, and the traces of death magic pointed towards a necromancer. Several hundred footprints leading into the forest suggested he wasn't alone. The Mage drew on the mana of the world, the energy swelling him. He cast seeds everywhere, especially onto the rotting corpses of the fallen. He then called upon the surrounding area and everything in it. The seeds, the leaves, the trees, the grass, everything. Tin, leafy feelers sprouted from where he had tossed the seeds, as well as from the local foliage. It began to weave itself together, forming small, bulky creatures that soon flooded the forest. The Mage gazed upon his newborn army, and turned their attention to the tracks in the dirt. They knew what they were to do, and soon the saprolings charged in the direction of the trail. Soon they would find their enemy, and soon the enemy would fall.

Hello again! This is the Herald of Atarka back here again with another deck tech. Today's Deck Tech is more of an experiment than any of the others. I wanted this deck to both be a budget one and use my favorite tribal strategy since they made all these useful cards for it: Saprolings.

The main strategy of this deck would be basically get out a bunch of tokens and bash your opponent's face in. Since we're using saprolings and a bunch of cards that support this, it would be pretty easy. We will of course be using our numerous creatures like Thallid Shell-Dweller to create a bunch of tokens.

Our first card would be Utopia Mycon, a neat 0/2 one-drop that helps us stave off early creatures while also being able to create saprolings. This also gets especially helpful as it turns our saprolings into better eldrazi scions, as they now sac for mana of any color. This is extremely helpful when casting things like Paradox Haze, which we only splashed into our deck. Other cards like Thallid Shell-Dweller help us defend against mono red aggro, while Mycologist turns our saprolings into life in case burn starts to whittle us below ten.

Mycoloth, the star of the deck, pretty much allows for the activation of all the other fungus's abilities once it gets online. It still is quite risky to play though, as it requires us to get rid of our own and hope it doesn't get removed. This, however, is why we have Savage Thallid. This little guy allows us to sacrifice any saprolings to save Mycoloth, buying us enough time until next turn.

Sporesower Thallid is one of the many creatures in our deck that helps us get counters fast. Though it itself only gets one spore counter a turn, it grants the rest of ours at least two spore counters a turn. This paired with Sporoloth Ancient allows us to get at least one Thallid out every turn. Thallid Mycoderm helps pump us to victory, while Paradox Haze also gives us another set of counters per turn.

Verdant Embrace turns one of our creatures into a Verdant Force, Fists of Ironwood makes two saprolings and Intangible Virtue boosts our tokens. Sprout Swarm makes two saprolings while Scatter the Seeds makes three of them with both having the boost of convoke.

Have fun with this deck, and any comments are appreciated. Thank You and have a nice day.
