Rise from the Tides: The core card behind this deck. With the amount of instants and sorceries in this deck, it should be really easy to proc mass amounts of tokens.
Thing in the Ice
: Same with Rise from the Tides, since you'll be playing heaps of spells flipping this card will come naturally.
Westvale Abbey
: Synergizes amazingly with Rise from the Tides and that flip side could definitely win games.
Jace, Unraveler of Secrets: All his effects are like versions of the spells in this deck. His +1 gives good card advantage, -2 helps stall and -8 will make it painful for your opponent to play spells.
Anticipate: Want a specific card? Here you go.
Calculated Dismissal: Decent counter and that spell mastery is a neat bonus.
Clash of Wills: Crazy good counter, works early if your opponent is using most their mana to cast and even better late when you have a massive mana pool.
Engulf the Shore: Stalls the game, protects Jace from attacks, can save your creatures from removal and if you have a specific amount of mana it could return your opponents creatures while leaving your Awoken Horror
and Ormendahl, Profane Prince
in play. Also counters tokens.
Epiphany at the Drownyard: Great card advantage, works great late when you have plenty of mana. Fun to use too.
Negate: Cheap counter for non-creatures.
Void Shatter: Solid counter.
Pieces of the Puzzle: Great for when you really need sorceries/instants to play or just want that Rise from the Tides.
