Sideboard

Instant (5)

Sorcery (2)

Enchantment (6)

Creature (2)

Using the old Wolf Ramp as a blueprint, I have made this Bant Ramp that has several win factors.

Instead of Rampant Growth, we utilize Farseek. Instead of Solemn Simulacrum, we utilize Ranger's Path. Instead of Sphere of the Suns we utilize Chromatic Lantern.

Obviously we don't have Titans anymore, but what we do have are Armada Wurm, Thragtusk and Angel of Serenity. Resto Angels to Bounce Wurms and Tusks for Tokens/life.

As back up, we have Cyclonic Rift to sweep their side of the board as you leisurely walk through (follow through with a Angel of Serenity usually for a win). To buy some time, Supreme Verdict.

I put Devastation Tide in here, but I am contemplating on taking it out for something more (another verdict perhaps or Planar Cleansing). I have Selesnya Charm in here for two reasons, the surprise +2/+2 and Trample for when there are blockers and for the Exiling effect. I may take these out completely for something else.

So what do you think? What am I missing?

(no sideboard yet, until I actually build this deck and try it out)

Edit:

Devastation Tides out and Selesnya Charms are SB only now. Azorius Charm has replaced the other charm for Draw effect, Life gain AND the control measure of bouncing to library an attacker or blocker.

Finished 28th out of 70 with a 3-3-1 record. I had some horrible luck and draws and I find that Sphinx's Revelation eats this deck alive.

My Round 1 Match was a R/W/U Clone deck to which, had to mulligan my opening no land hand (always great way to start, eh?). From there I lost that game, but took the next two.

My Round 2 Match was against R/B Zombies. I had much practices against it, so I beat it in two games to none.

Round 3 Match was against another R/W/U deck, but this was more control. It was also my first match up against the Revelation. Game one went to him, but it had been extremely close. I was top decking and he had a full hand.

Round 4 Match was a match I should have won. I had to mulligan and go first and kept a bad hand. Game two, I was stuck on four lands forever and by the time I got the mana I needed, I couldn't keep up. I did wipe the board 4 times though.

Round 5 Match was vs Bant Control. I lost the first game, but the match ended in a draw since no one could kill the other (again due to Revelations).

Round 6 Match was vs Jund Midrange. No problems at all and I took it two games to none.

Round 7 Match was the final one to which I got to play versus another mirror. But again, the Revelation won the day to my opponent since I could not run over him (had him to 1 at one point). Game almost went to time, but he top decked an Angel of Serenity.

All in all, I should have played the mirror more. My sideboards were right on, but I could have probably done a bit more. In the end, I was playing a deck I like, but isn't my strong point. I am an Aggro player and that was precisely what took first place.... G/W Humans.

I'll be going back to G/W Aggro for next week!
