So first I would like to shout out to Kenvan19 who got me started thinking about how to abuse Song of Creation! I didn't really give the card any thought, put no creative juices behind it before I developed my Sliver's Genesis Lullaby deck after pulling 4 Alurens out of my paper collection to remake some Sliver nonsense deck. This deck is for you Ken! So this is another Song Of Creation Combo deck but with a bit of a twist. The strategy is Millstone rather than some kind of stompy, a favorite archetype of mine from way back when I started playing Revised. Except Millstone is not Standard legal. So we opt for Teferi's Tutelage. The whole combo is Song of Creation into Teferi's Tutelage with Rielle, the Everwise as a possible finisher. We are using part of a Simic-Ramp engine to try to both dig for our combo and ramp up so that we can chain cast a bunch of cheap spells to win before Song of Creation makes us discard our hand. Song of Creation gives us 2 cards when we cast a spell. Off of each Song proc we get 2 Teferi's Tutelage procs which causes our opponent to mill 4 cards. You don't need Rielle out to win via the Song-Tutelage combo, but she can help out during the Discard Step to get us a little further along by replacing all the cards Song of Creation forced us to discard either fueling us up for our next Main Phase or by giving us some cheap Instant speed Song/Tutelage-chain win-cons and some last minute Mill at the end of our turn to possibly get us over the finish line. You could replace the cheap Instant speed spells for things like Stonecoil Serpent and Ugin's Conjurant and Tormod's Crypt in the main to try and cascade a Song-Tutelage win during your Main Phase. Adventure cards are en excellent end-runaround the Song of Creation hand discard, so there is an argument to be made for cards like Brazen Borrower which can Flash in. Every win I have with this deck in the casual que (MTGA) I have tapped out with cheap spells to achieve, and casting Song-Tutelage as close to curve as possible, so Brazen Borrower may be a balancing act. Plus Brazen Borrower is of limited value as a blocker. It is more valuable as an instant speed Proc for Song of Creation. Fae of Wishes can help tutor us to our combo by fetching our fourth Song or Tutelage, it can get us some valuable tech in the way of Tormod's Crypt if we need to exile a Cat or that 1-drop black chump that becomes a 5/5 when cast from the graveyard, or you can Grafgigger's Cage, or you can get an alternate win-con in the form of Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, because, well, against Yorion and other 80+ card decks the road to milling your opponent is longer than the road to drawing out. I have had mixed results with both which tells me this list is still in need of tuning. So any suggestions are welcome!
