I've found that this deck is highly dependent on destroying lands starting from turn 3. This requires that you play an enabler on turn 2, so don't keep a hand without one. Otherwise, you probably won't be able to keep up with your opponent's threats.

Going first is strongly to your advantage as it means your opponent is less likely to ever have more than 2 lands out.
