Update V1.1 —Feb. 16, 2019

After a moderate amount of testing , I have made a few observations thus far. Some cards are not performing well and I either need more ramp or more land... not sure yet. Also my spell count either needs to increase, or I scrap my bit of 'spells matter' stuff.

On another note I accidentally found an infinite combo (not game lock out infinite) but still, it wasn't intended. You can find it above in the description. On one hand I think it's kind of neat, on the other I feel it would end up defining the deck and be something I would seek out, so I'm not sure about whether to keep it intact moving forward.

Now getting back to the cards I feel were under-performing:

Electrostatic Pummeler, Empyreal Voyager & Bristling Hydra: All of these have the same issue; there is but one pump spell in the deck and no other ways to pump except the slow grow of +1/+1 counters. Both pummler and hydra would be better off having trample or another form of evasion. The Voyager just doesn't make a big enough impact on it's own.

Highspire Infusion: Our lonely pump spell.

Mission Briefing: This one is tricky, early it is a 'rearrange top 2' because we just went have the mana to cast anything off of it, and it is highly unlikely we'll dump anything in the yard. Later it may ditch a land and reuse a spell, never has it been spectacular though.

Helm of the Host: High costed equip cost, however it does make a token consistently. Kind of feel like this belongs in voltron/equipment decks where they cheat past equip costs.

That's all for now, I have a few other questionable but they require more testing.

I like what you've done here! Mirage Mirror should be an auto include in many decks. I think it would fit great in here.

I'd run an Animar. Casting boys on the cheap really helps with energy production

Nillstan I had considered it as a commander choice, but didn't think to include in the main. Thanks, now just have to decide where he fits.

I'm not really familiar with energy, so bear with me here.

Just gonna get this out of the way: I see you have Isochron Scepter , why aren't you running Dramatic Reversal to go with it?

Lightning Runner seems like it could be fun in here.

Insidious Will and Disallow are some of my favorite counterspells. Wizard's Retort basically acts as another Counterspell since your commander is a wizard.

I hope that these few suggestions could help! I wasn't sure what to say, the deck seems pretty good.

You know you've started something when you see people doing something you started. Glad you're liking the energy game too.
