R/B Phoenix Aggro: Burn, Attack, Heal! [Budget]

Modern Aggro Budget Burn Casual Lifegain

kgontario

This deck is about burning your opponents creatures and summoning an army of never-dieing phoenix! Every card serves it's purpose and works towards the same goal of aggressively withering your opponents health while healing your own! This deck is great for making comebacks from <5 health, once you have a decent mana base on the field, swing and win!

Lightning Bolt - Great burn card. Cheap, strong & efficient!

Wild Slash - Another cheap burn card, great for killing weak 1-2 drop creatures.

Burst Lightning - Great one-drop burn for early game and a potential game ender during late game.

Titan's Strength - Gives your creatures more beefiness when they swing, also scry is nice.

Go for the Throat - Helps you deal with bigger creatures that your opponent might sneak onto the field.

Eternal Thirst - Lifelink and counter buff for 2 mana. Awesome for comebacks and growing creatures.

Dying Wish - Works as a player burn and a heal in one for 2 mana.

Chandra's Phoenix - Haste & Flying for 3 mana. Really easy to return from the grave with burn spells.

Flamewake Phoenix - Another Haste & Flying for 3. Can be brought back onto the battlefield easily with Titan's Strength.

Ashcloud Phoenix - Great card. Returns as a 2/2 after dieing and can be flipped for 6 with built in burn.

Flame-Wreathed Phoenix - Can be a 5/5 for 4 mana or could be a returnable 3/3. Either way this card is great!

BLACK: Easy. A black deck can effectively remove your army, however; many of these creatures come back from the dead. Eventually your black-loving enemy will run out of death spells for your creatures leaving you free to swing, the more spells they use early the less they'll have late.

GREEN: Fair. Those green decks can prove to be sometimes difficult for a deck like this, many green creatures are super-beefy and have been known to have reach. Also, a few of these players might even pull Plummet from their sideboard, which makes the matchup longer and harder. Burning their mana ramp creatures and swinging proves to have the most success in this matchup.

RED: Fair. Enemies running red will sometimes pose difficult with their multitude of burns spells and fast creatures. Summon early and swing quickly before your phoenix's turn to ash, fight fire with fire!

BLUE: Fair. Counter my creature? That's fine! It'll be coming back next turn! Blue could be difficult as it prolongs the game and makes it harder for you to end, use your burn spells on the player directly and intimidate them to use their counter spells on your instants!

WHITE: Hard. Exiling your creatures is one way to get rid of them, and white is full of it! Be hesitant when using your creatures early and try to intimidate them using your burn spells as quickly as possible!
