This is my current Modern brew. I actually get to play some FNM Modern sometimes now so i thought why not build something else than a budget Burn variant, while still being able to play my favourite cards? So i came up with this wierd mix of Zoo and Burn.

So the gist of it is: play a lot of efficient 1-mana Creatures, Burning-Tree Emissary so you can cast multiples and then play Mass Hysteria to get a huge surprise attack in. The Late-game Plan consists of Grim Lavamancer or Ramunap Ruins dealing the remaining amounts of damage. Lavamancer gets fueled by cards like Shard Volley and Devastating Summons, which are both extremely good cards in the Deck, even without Lavamancer (just try making 2 3/3s with haste from nothing for one mana, it's pretty nifty). They are the reason i kinda had to put 20 lands in this deck though, but i think it's worth it, we have a lategame mana-sink with Ramunap Ruins too. In the future i might add Fetches, so i can activate Lavamancer even more consistently. Maybe i'll also add Stomping Ground so i can Maindeck Atarka's Command, which could be pretty powerful in this deck, at the expense of cheap reach (and money lol). In testing i've found mono red with Ramunap Ruins to be the most powerful though.

The Sideboard is still pretty open-ended. Dragon's Claw against Burn feels cheap, but it's also extremely effective. Chandra is pretty good in grindy matchups, as she helps against blockers and also let's us draw burn to finish off the game. I'm also considering 2-4 copies of Eidolon of the Great Revel and Blood Moon instead of Molten Rain, but that's a meta-call i guess.
