After losing two amazing 1drops in rotation ( Fanatical Firebrand and Ghitu Lavarunner ), we are trying to keep the spirit of ol' Hazoret RDW alive.

(Current testing was from the 12 free standard event on MTGArena)

Robber of the Rich is a ridiculous card with a good statline and a solid passive ability to help with topdecking issues. After running this and going to an old build which ran Ember Hauler , the haste and card advantage is extremely noticable to how smooth the gameplay becomes. This also is the reason we run Tin Street Dodger , who happens to be a Rogue creature type.

The Royal Scions is the only MB card we are splashing blue for. The +1 loot is good to mitigate flooding and assist with Experimental Frenzy hitting multiple lands in a row. The +1 +2/0 and first strike+trample help buff our weaker 1drops and push in damage a lot faster. Their big butt make them hard to deal with on a crackback, and their ult(which isn't terribly uncommon to hit) usually delivers the coup de grâce or at least draws into it.

Slaying Fire is 90% of the time a deal 4 damage, which is relevant as it hits bigger creatures such as Questing Beast or speeds the clock up on going face.

Sideboard is in limbo until the meta solidifies.
