Introducing Tier 1 Red Devotion!

This deck is midrange, not RDW.

Here's the rundown:

Creatures

  • Ash Zealot - good for devotion, and knocking some life off an opponent right off the bat


  • Boros Reckoner - very good for devotion, and an even more intimidating blocker, especially when Pit Fight ed with Domri Rade

  • Burning-Tree Emissary - good for devotion, especially when there's more than one in your hand, but even better for triggering a Mizzium Mortars or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, or for mana fixing a Domri Rade or Xenagos, the Reveler

  • Fanatic of Mogis - the main win con, hitting them hard with as much devotion damage as you can muster

  • Frostburn Weird - an excellent blocker with convenient devotion, especially for mirror matches and aggro decks

  • Stormbreath Dragon - an alternative win con, with monstrosity being able to be triggered easily with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

    • Gods

  • Purphoros, God of the Forge - his damage ability is quite useful, but as he needs only 5 devotion, he can become a very heavy hitter quite easily


  • Xenagos, God of Revels - Double damage plus haste? I like it!

    • Planeswalkers


  • Domri Rade - his Pit Fight can be useful to trigger a Boros Reckoner or clear the field, but his +1 is useful simply to keep putting more devotion creatures into your hand


  • Xenagos, the Reveler - chump blockers are alright, but adding enough mana to activate monstrosity with Stormbreath Dragon or pump all my creatures with Purphoros, God of the Forge is even better!

  • Mizzium Mortars - a potential board wiper with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
