- Monastery Swiftspear- staple 1 drop that applies pressure on
- Stormchaser Mage- the follow-up to swiftspear with added evasion
- Mantis Rider- along with the other two, provides a solid foundation for this deck
- Monastery Mentor- great synergy by providing tokens for zada
- Zada, Hedron Grinder- the focus of the deck. Turns all our "target creature" spells into "all creatures you control"
- Expedite/ Defiant Strike /Slip Through Space- cantrips allow this deck to be amazingly consistent by allowing us to draw into cards we need and more
- Might of the Masses- buffs the entire board tremendously especially with 1/1 monk tokens
- Temur Battle Rage- the extra punch to the opponent's face after Slip Through Space helps secure games
