WELCOME, to the Esper Reanimation Station! I bet you are wondering how you got here, but I got to tell you nobody knows. You could have spawned from a robot's guts (Clone Shell) or ripped into this reality, with your butt in the air and face in the dirt, by a zombie ( Sultai Emissary ) or just, spawned into existence because you are a rat or spirit ((Ogre Slumlord, Requiem Angel, & Teysa, Orzhov Scion).

Regardless of how you got here, it is important to know that your body, no matter how useful to you, is not only useful to US but also the BEST kind of expendable.

Don't worry, though, you could come back pretty easily. ((Mikaeus, the Unhallowed)

COLORS Show

WHY ESPER REANIMATOR

Esper was the only 3 color combo in my meta that did not have a reanimator type strategy going through it, as well as had two Karador, Ghost Chieftain, a few just G/W going through as well as two Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter, and I really wanted to play that graveyard game.

Difference, here, is that I'm a durdly little combo deck that has the word "Eventually" tattooed on it's forehead, and I never have to risk my commander (not that this is a problem anymore due to rule changes).

Sun Titan can do some WORK! This guy can get so much tech out of your yard for just a quick trip to the yard himself, but there are some favorites.

• Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead - Lets Sun Titan reanimate much larger CMC
• Gift of Immortality - Allows Sun Titan to reanimate himself!

QUICK AND DIRTY

We also have a few ways to just ... end the game with one cast of a mass reanimation spell like Living Death or Twilight's Call.

• Laboratory Maniac - Infinite draw (or at least pseudo-infinite) is the easiest thing for this deck to muster, so lets make sure that maniac is in play while we do it.
• Gray Merchant of Asphodel -Devotion to black, after a massive reanimate spell like that, results in people just kinda dying on accident. I didn't mean to drain all your life, I just sorta did it because that's how it works around these parts.
• Ashnod's Altar + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx nets us some MASSIVE advances after a boardwipe. Try and leave that little devotion land untapped!
• Archaeomancer/Mnemonic Wall = DO IT AGAIN!

SADISTS Show

LOCK DOWN

This deck is 100% capable of controlling the game completely and utterly, should it need to, but these are things of last resort. Ditch efforts used when things are looking grim or the other people at the table are already going for the salt.

With so many Grave Pact like effects in the deck, there comes a natural addition to the mix.

LAND LOCK

Due to the milling nature of the deck, and the fact some of it's lands eat themselves for a profit (Buried Ruin), eat other lands for ramp (Lotus Vale), and are a Glacial Chasm there is a Crucible of Worlds in the deck. I can do things with the Crucible that I don't like having the power to do.

Later game, this deck doesn't need or care about land drops, and it's about that time that things get serious. ...but if I resort to the next group of hate (especially since these are far easier to repeat) then I'm pretty sure I don't like you.
