4-0 FNM played a -1/-1 counters deck, GB Delirium, WB angels life gain, and last RDW was a very good night.

I run and bc recommend both Open Fire and Flame Lash. In my ULTRA BUDGET burn both have been power houses on both removal and strait damage. There aren't many creatures with power more than 4 in the current meta so dealing with them with either of these is pretty easy.

Grats on going 4-0 in FNM! +1

1-3Rough night started against a blue white approach of the second suns deck was close but main deck authority is rough.Game two against Cats and horses misplay cost me game one tapped 1 of two mountains to cast a bomat which drew the shock I needed to win but could not cast. Won game two and got run over game 3 after hour of devastation away kitties then horses then 2x eternal pouncers.Game 3 against black white aristocrats again main deck authority of the consuls but was able to still win 2-0. He did have a nut play by dropping gonti and swiping my hour of devastation to wipe 2 bomats a gorger crasher and Hazoret lol.Game 4 I conceded to a guy with a 0-3 record to watch my gf play she was 2-1 and was playing for her first ever potential 3-1. Sadly she lost it in game 3. She almost had game one with him at 1 hp before he stabilized against her zombie horde.

No FNM report this week on account of hurricane Harvey.

What would you think of Hope of Ghirapur as a side board option? Really helps to give you one more turn for them not able to play any non-creature spell so it protects you from board wipes for a turn. Which is all you need to give that extra damage. Plus it flys. Which is not too bad lol.

I don't understand why people are using Falkenrath Gorger I get it's a 2/1 but you have no other vamps? Why not Expedite or a cheap red combat trick? Possibly Harsh Mentor

Some decks can't kill a turn 1 drop so he gets in for 2-8 damage, he'll I've had a turn 1 bomat get in for 8.

Went 3-1 at DBM beating zombies, uw monument and temur energy. Loss to WB angels and vampires but was close. Won 3 packs and my "Good Luck Charm" my girlfriend got to open one and pulled a invocation scarab god so was a great night.

I wonder why they've moved away from Searing Spear and gone for Lightning Strike these last couple times... I personally like the art on spear. Anyway, nice take on RDW. +1

This deck seems very similar to the one that I ran when coming off f my 15 year haiatus.

I'd include those Glorybringer, even if just in the sideboard.

Check my new one out!

I've had them in main and an just my decks so low to the ground that I feel like bringing them in from sb isn't the right play. Tbh unless I see artifact or red creatures I sometimes skip sideboarding all together.

Wish wotc would change kari zev's ragavan token from monkey to monkey pirate. Like how it would interact with that lightning-rig crew.

I think the card Vance's Blasting Cannons could be a great budget replacement for Chandra, Torch of Defiance.

It does have potential and is harder for them to get rid of.

What's you rating on Hungry Flames? 3 mana seems a bit too much for me, I see where it can be useful but I'm not convinced it's good enough :)

Beyond good enough in my book on the draw it shifts momentum so well. It's why I'm sad to see collective defiance rotate. With this deck I literally drop 1-3 creatures by turn 2 then just burn the way for them. Way I see it I'd spend 3 mana to lightning strike a creature then shock my opponent . What I'm gaining is two cards rolled into one just don't get to split the damage any other way. Also your opponent doesn't have to have a creature I can hit my own stuff to ink out the last points of damage I need to kill them has come up twice so far. Also it has the potential to kill bristling hydra on its own if used before the energy trigger resolves and if they aren't sitting on a lot of energy. Hungry Flames should be in every RDW deck list people have been sleeping on this card.
