Working on a rat tribal, because I wanted to make a mono-black deck, and Marrow-Gnawer caught my eye.

This also gives me a good chance to get acquainted with tribal decks and their construction right before the new C17 pre-cons drop. I know this deck is nowhere near good, and I would appreciate any feedback on good rats to use, good mono-black ramp to use, and any other useful spells to keep me alive for at least a few turns! (FYI the side board right now is what I really like and I want to fit in when I have more time to mess around with this, and the maybe board is what I kinda like, but I'm unsure about.)

First off,

I'm aware as of the moment I'm typing this I have way too many lands (50!) and 48 are basic swamps! Additionally, I have way too few rats to even regard this deck as a rat tribal, so I'm in the process of adding ramp so I may take out some swamps and put in more rats and other spells remedy this issue. I also need some Artifact and Enchantment removal, and some counter-spells if they're viable and available.

Also,

I desire to try and change out the remaining basic non-snow swamps for snow covered swamps! (I may make all my lands snow lands, or I may do a 50/50 split of non-snow and snow to lessen the damage Wake of Destruction and other land destruction cards/ decks can do to me. If you have any tips on if this is wise or even a thing I should be wary about I'd appreciate it!). This is because I recently learned of some advantages they provide:

1.Extraplanar Lens + Snow-Covered Swamp to in effect be another black mana doubling cube.

2.Mouth of Ronom for some unexpectedly decent spot removal for a land.

3.Scrying Sheets I'm thinking of using whenever I have some mana spare, maybe right before my turn to check what I'm getting and possibly get a free land in hand.

4.Scrying Sheets + Sensei's Divining Top to ensure the previous interaction I mentioned is more likely or certainly going to happen.

5.Snow-Covered Swamp + Sunstone for a reusable Fog.

Its unrelated to rat tribal, but... turn 1: Swamp then Dark Ritual + Phyrexian Dreadnought + Torpor Orb . Next turn... attack for 12, then Tainted Strike in response if they declare no blockers. I read this somewhere, and I have no idea the practicality, and the chances of drawing into it first turn are astronomical, but its a fun idea.
