Rashmi 2.0- Queen of Valuetown

Commander / EDH Combo Control GU (Simic)

When Rashmi was spoiled for Kaladesh I immediately knew I had to build her. So I took apart pieces from my Jori En deck and built what is probably my favorite deck atm and a very strong one as well.

Simic is among the best color combinations in magic because you get two of the most important aspects, ramp and card draw. So when you have a commander that builds on that advantage with basically a free extra card on EACH turn, your we'll on your way to valuetown.

The ramp package includes dorks such as Llanowar Elves, Joraga Treespeaker, some rocks, and spells such as Kodama's Reach. Adjust these to your own liking but try to start out with some ramp in your opening hand to ensure you get off to a quick start since once your opponents figure out what Rashmi can do you'll be targeted quite a bit.

This deck is filled with top-deck manipulation and cantrips. Sensei's Divining Top is a no brainer and Crystal Ball is a solid option if sensei's is out of your budget. Magus of the Future, Courser of Kruphix/Oracle of Mul Daya and Future Sight extend your hand by one card and gives you an idea of what to cast if you want the Rashmi trigger to play the card on the top of your deck. Cantrip's such as Brainstorm, Ponder and Dig Through Time give you a chance to dig into your deck and play cards in the best order to maximize the Rashmi trigger.

To trigger Rashmi's ability as much as possible you must also play on other peoples turn. Cards like Leyline of Anticipation, Seedborn Muse, cards with flash and instants help.Vedalken Orrey, Yeva, Nature's Herald are options if you want to play more creature based.

Tutors are extremely helpful in a deck like this. Fabricate gets Sensei's or Strionic Resonator which can cause Rashmi to get out of control. Green Sun's Zenith generally gets Seedborn Muse but can also get Acidic Slime or terastadon if you need some non-creature removal.

The deck is filled with card draw in the forms of Sylvan Library, Treasure Cruise, Rhystic Study, and Shardless Agent to a degree.

There are a few cards that can get spells from the graveyard in the form of archaemancer , Greenwarden of Murasa, Seasons Past and Pull from the Deep .

With the ramp and Rashmi's ability it's conducive to play some big spells. In my case I chose most of my wincons to be large spells. Wincons are jin-gitaxias who gets even more deadly with Psycosis Crawler out. Enter the Infinite + Laboratory Maniac is a no brainer here. Rite of Replication on the right creature (such as Terastadon) can be deadly. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or any legal Eldrazi can also be a good win-con and generally allow you cast your trigger with Rashmi.

Counterspells and other removal are for keep opponents from playing their win-cons, stopping combos, and keeping their value generators off the board.

Hope you guys enjoy the deck, feel free to ask questions or make suggestions!
