Maybeboard

First off a bit of a disclaimer/explanation. I am a relatively new player to MTG. My general approach is to find effective decks I see being played and would like to try myself. However, many competitive decks have expensive cards within them. My approach is to try to create versions of these decks but at a much lower budget. I have a personal rule that I will not purchase any card above £2. Cards between £1 to £2 are my grey area and I have to be convinced they are necessary. This leads me to try to find slightly worse but financially more viable versions of cards that will perform the same function in a deck. I hope this approach is one others will benefit from allowing players who need to operate within financial constraints feasible decks.

At this moment in time this deck is in testing but it appears to be very effective and fast to ramp up at the moment. All the cards follow the above rules except Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Vivien Reid as these were cards I got lucky with drawing them out of packs.

Ideal starts are to get Llanowar Elves , Druid of the Cowl , Elfhame Druid to give you that extra mana draw ability. Getting Elvish Clancaller and Marwyn, the Nurturer oout then helps and you can ramp up the +1/+1 counters on things fast. The sorcery cards are expensive on the mana curve but with the Elves being able to tap for more mana you can quickly get enough for Strength of he Pack and then Biogenic Upgrade which can ramp up the power of even the smallest of elves to be match winners. If all that is not enough All the potential mana you can accumulate can also be used to drop Ghalta, Primal Hunger onto the battlefield.
