Ramos, Dragon VALUE Engine

Commander / EDH

Nix1830

Ramp early, play ramos, play multi colored spells, cheat out 10 mana, play big value spells, ????, win the game. A seemingly brutish description for a deck, but it really is that simple.

The name of the game with this deck is ramp and gas. We need more mana to get Ramos out early so that our spells give us free value in the form of +1/+1 counters onto Ramos himself. If you feel safe enough, go to combat while Ramos is as big as possible and then in your second main drop the counters for even more threats onto the board. Pretty soon your opponents will recognize the power of this mechanical dragon and cower with fear whenever it is pulled out of the deck box. As a result, this dragon is a magnet for interaction and it is easy to fall behind due to the commander tax rule. 6-7 / 10 in terms of power scaling.

C. Sphinx has been replaced with Syphon Mind - The idea is that Syphon mind still draws you a good amount of cards while at the same time taking away resources from your opponents. Usually C. Sphinx only sticks around for one or two opponents turns anyway before it gets removed (if your opponents are smart). Also my playgroup has decided that C. Sphinx is too annoying and powerful and has decided to ban the card in our casual group.
