Have you thought about some Exploit creatures? i think Qarsi Sadist would work awesome for that extra non-cpmbat damage comboed with Athreos, God of Passage

Nah, did not, didn't even know. But now it's in there, ty ;)

I would consider some more sacrifice outlets like Nantuko Husk and Viscera Seer. Another idea to abuse Athreos, God of Passage triggers would be to play this like an eggs deck with lots of zero and one mana creatures to make a no win scenario for your opponent, either lose three or let your opponent get a million sacrifice triggers. Another addition to help you would be Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist to be able to win outside of combat. As for removal, I would try out Bone Splinters because late in the game it acts as a free removal spell. Another consideration would be to add an Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim as well as Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant for lifegain and sacrifice shenanigans, as well as going more in on the 'combo' with athreos abusing free creatures and free sac outlets to turn Ornithopter and Memnites into free Lightning Bolts instead of focusing on a solely recursion based build, as the opponent gets to choose what cards you can have or cant have. All in all this seems like a cool deck, but it seems like you would want a four of on the main powerhouse of the deck.

Hi sark,

ty for your inputs, did the following:

regarding your other creature suggestions: at this point I wanna keep it human oriented, because of Xathrid Necromancer, now even better with Nantuko Husk combined. But I keep your comment in mind in case the deck doesn't work. First of all I'm gonna playtest a bit :)

Sidisi, Undead Vizier would be great here.

It does have a higher cmc, but I think that's okay. I'd also consider Archangel Avacyn  Flip.

And Smothering Abomination leads to fun places (why can't I think of things all at the same time?)

Dictate of Erebos can totally abuse Nantuko Husk's ability.

Archangel and Dictate now in maybe's. Ordered the deck now and have to see first, if I really need such badasses ;) The cost seems a bit high.

Interesting deck idea, so +1, I have a few suggestions.

  1. Move the Disenchants to the sideboard, it's a sideboard card that should only come out in the matchups you need it in. (For example, against a deck like burn, jund, or the vast majority of decks in modern disenchant doesn't do anything.)

  2. You need discard, because if someone plays a card like Rest in Peace your entire plan is down the drain. The best cards for this are Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek

  3. Black Sun's Zenith is far worse than Damnation, especially in this deck, where plenty of your creatures are indestructible, (like the god built around the deck) and a Zenith hit for almost anything makes this deck far worse. I'd also suggest to move the boardwipes to the sideboard, as your deck has enough synergy that shouldn't be hard to block whatever is a threat.

  4. This deck needs a sideboard, I'd reccomend putting in the good white and black cards that don't interfere with your game plan, which really means cards like Stony Silence, cards like Surgical Extraction/Extirpate, Celestial Purge, Pithing Needle, Kitchen Finks, Sin Collector.

  5. While I get that there is a synergy with Bone Splinters and your deck, sorcery speed removal only gets you so far, as manlands like Inkmoth Nexus and Raging Ravine do not care about your sorcery speed removal, which is why I'd put Path to Exile in over it, since you already have so many sac outlets I doubt you'd be missing much.

Bloodsoaked Champion is an excellent recursion creature that regardless of whether or not your opp pays life, he is still easy to get back on the board. With his cheap cmc he also turns into an engine! After you attack you can sac/cast him from your graveyard for 3 mana each cycle, giving you multiple sac triggers each turn. Lets you combo with Xathrid Necromancer as it is a human as well. Killing Wave is another great card for this deck, letting you threaten your opponent for massive life loss in the early game and acts as a board wipe in the late game. Better than Black Sun's Zenith in my opinion!

If we're grading board wipes, just use Wrath of God or Damnation; they're both fitting considering the theme.

This is great! I have a very similar deck called, "Rowsdower: The Final Sacrifice", I really enjoy this play mechanic. Definitely going to borrow a couple things from this. Ever considered Death Cultist, Thraben Doomsayer, Gift of Immortality, or even this quasi-combo Forbidden Orchard+Illness in the Ranks+Blood Artist or Falkenrath Noble?

Hi guys,

thank you for your suggestions, took the stuff I'm considering to maybe's. Stay tuned how I blend em in ;)

Switched: Doomed Traveler with Bloodsoaked Champion / Black Sun's Zenith with Wrath of God / Bone Splinters with Path to Exile

Sideboarded: Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, Disenchant, Pithing Needle

Think overall it's now quite complete, and expensive enough :o

Nah, to expensive, to little synergy, one drop Bloodsoaked Champion does better. But thx for the suggestion ;)

not even for a bit of fuel with Collective Brutality That makes 8 creatures that can bounce back :D, plus one card that destroys the burn match up

@BobbaFedUp: mainly to keep opponent away from attacking in the first turns, or at least to make it a draw in the first combats.

@Kolanskyman I'm kinda dependant on my graveyard with Dutiful Attendant, so I wouldn't consider this atm. Secondly it's not a human. But ty anyway ;)

What about Fleshbag Marauder? It could be useful against other indestructible/hexproof creatures.
