I would drop Geistflame for +1 Rakdos Cackler , +2 Rakdos Shred-Freak , and +1 Thunderbolt +1

I dropped the Geistflame for the 3 creatures and the thunderbolt. i also dropped 2 Scalding Devil and -1 Balefire Dragon for 3 card:Rakdos's Return

I have thought about droping the Scalding Devil s for 2 Chandra, the Firebrand but it's a 4 drop and i want to drop Rakdos, Lord of Riots turn 4. but i might move her over from my sideboard after i playtest it.

This is actually really cool. If I might make a suggestion; -1 Utvara Hellkite, -1 Tormented Soul (I don't think you want 4 of these, though you may disagree), and -1 rakdos return for +3 Rune-Scarred Demon . Cast Rune-Scarred for cheap, then search out another big fatty to cast next turn.

Really think this is a nice deck. If you could get some blood crypts those would obviously be a good set to include, but they are expensive.

I am trying to keep it standard post standard and I would love a play set of blood crypts but like you said, they are expensive.

I would only run two Rakdos, Lord of Riots since he's legendary. I would also drop a Utvara Hellkite , since he's such a big drop, and you have Balefire Dragon . Then i would add another Blood Artist , and a Bonfire of the Damned .

I think he can probably have the three Rakdos, since it's such a centerpiece of the deck. The Utvara Hellkites, as far as I can tell, are in to be cast off of Rakdos, which makes them more than playable; having three huge creatures to cast off Rakdos doesn't seem that outlandish to me.

MLBurt is correct in saying the dragons are supposed to be cast of rakdos makeing them 2 drops in a perfect world. I like Bonfire of the Damned but they are extreamly expensive, if I could I would run them in the place of card:Rakdos's Return

What about adding some Mizzium Mortars in? They are mana efficient when not overloaded, doing 4 damage for 2 CMC, and can clear out the opponent's creatures for a lower monetary cost than Bonfire of the Damned . The only downsides are that it is sorcery speed and doesn't do damage to the opponent but you get what you pay for.

rakdos is amazing but he can only be played when an opponent loses life. not takes damage. so you wont be able to play rakdos unless you somehow have a Blood Artist or something else to fulfull the requirement. Bloodthrone Vampire will do pretty good since you dont need mana to sac something. so rakdos is a 4 drop then. otherwise Bump in the Night would let you bring the pain. this is a damn sweet deck though. +1 from me

I sideboarded card:Rakdos's Return for Bump in the Night . I was looking for something to replace rakdos's return because it is so mana intensive and I didn't even think about bump in the night. If I had the money then I would add Thundermaw Hellkite .

-4 thunderbolt, +4 Searing Spear I would say 90% of the time you would want this instead of something that only deals damage to flyers.

@zinge thanks man! Rakdos got tons more man points now that i understand the ruling properly. i am totally going to abuse his affinity for life lost ability. it makes some cards much more playable..hmmm.... to the deckbuilder! i would plus1 again if i could

Bonfire of the Damned can be very useful, maybe instead Thunderous Wrath .

Have you considered adding any 3 or 5 drops? Like Vampire Nighthawk or Splatter thug? It seems like you have a larger number of solid 1 drops, but then from there it seems to all rely on casting Rakdos, Lord of Riots... but guess that's the point of this deck, I just feel like there would be a couple turns where your opponent could beat on you pretty hard if you had nothing stronger out. Also I think Victim of Night could be a solid removal for this deck as well. Here's my Rakdos build http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/lets-aggro-rakdos/ Let me know what you think!
