This is my Rakdos CC-LD-Sac deck that I have been using for about six months now to wreak my playgroup. Thought I'd share it with you guys. In response, my group has been making mill / discard decks. Gotta love Rakdos.

It's currently 62 cards. I have added a few new Demons to the deck that I just got and I am working on figuring out which two cards to remove, if any. I'd like it to go back down to 60 but I'd also like to keep the overall flow of the design. It seems to work fine at 62, so I'll just have to play it more and see.

Don't mistake this deck for a slow one. You can technically begin your land destruction on T1 with Ghost Quarter, though I advise against this. Typically a good starting hand is at least 3 lands and either a Typhoid Rats or a Rain of Tears .

There are as many spells in here to take out lands as most decks have lands. With Charmbreaker Devils, Howl of the Horde , and Volcanic Vision you can reuse any number of spells you have. If you Howl a Destroy the Evidence you will have a load of fun. Similarly, you can wipe the board of most creatures by using Volcanic Vision on Destroy the Evidence .

I'm not too fond of Kothophed, Soul Hoarder or Herald of Anguish so these may get cut for the 60 card limit, but for now they stay in here since they've got nowhere else to go.

A single Diabolic Tutor may not seem all that impressive but I have used it to get a Rakdos Carnarium, a Mountain, a Roiling Terrain , an Ob Nixilis Reignited , and a few other one-off spells here and there. When you use it in conjunction with Howl of the Horde you can get up to three cards at a time. So it's nice to have in certain situations.

Basically you destroy their lands so they can't cast spells, force them to sacrifice their own creatures, draw up to a total of 4 cards per turn (I typically get around 2 or 3 draws per turn), throw down a horde of Demons, and make them discard one painful card at a time.

Game usually comes out of bloodshed or forfeit, in my experience. Few players stick around long enough to watch their library get discarded one card at a time.

The only deck my group has been able to defeat this with was a black discard deck that used a bunch of 1 and 2 cost spells. That was simply to fast for this. It's taken on multiple different mill decks, multiple different token decks, a Gruul Hydra / Dragon deck, a Superfriends deck, and several others.

I am considering Ob Nixilis, Unshackled. I have not bought him yet and I wanted to try out those other Demons first. One thing to watch out for while playing this deck is aggressive Landfall. If your opponent has out something such as Hedron Crab, you may want to not sacrifice Ghost Quarter. Just saying.

So if you're looking for a nasty control deck that will surely piss your friends off, this might just be for you!

neosapien Yeah I just haven't bought any more Desecration yet. I had five Archfiend laying around so I figured I'd throw all four into there. I was going to get rid of Kothophed, Soul Hoarder & Herald of Anguish, which would reduce it down to 60.

Ob Nixilis, Unshackled would be really fun but is limited in that he really only applies when I sacrifice Ghost Quarter to destroy an opponent's land. That doesn't seem very reliable.

Ah, I usually build decks on here how I want them to end up, as opposed to how they currently are in order to help guide my purchases and deck edits. Demons are dope tho for sure
