Rakdos, Lord of Riots leads Liliana, the Last Hope, Koth of the Hammer, Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded, and Chandra, Torch of Defiance in a quest to end all friendships! The main goal of the deck is to dump all the big creatures you can onto the battlefield and bring them back with things like Victimize, Whip of Erebos, Apprentice Necromancer , and Exhume.

So I accidentally stumbled upon a nasty turn 4 win.

Turn 1= Mountain, Mogg Fanatic

Turn 2= Swamp, Apprentice Necromancer

Turn 3= swamp, Buried Alive, grabbing Master of Cruelties, Phyrexian Obliterator, and Lord of the Void.

Turn 4= Use Apprentice Necromacer's ability on Master of Cruelties, bringing opponent down to 1. The using Mogg Fanatic for win.

Lord of the Void, Extremely useful in exiling the top 7 from opponents deck, and grabbing something useful in the process.

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre. Eldrazi titans, enough said.

Master of Cruelties, Total meme machine in commander.

The main goal of this deck is to either use Rakdos, Lord of Riots to throw big creatures onto the battlefield, or my favorite, reanimate everything. Using things like Entomb, Buried Alive, and even boardwipes such as Damnation and Bontu's Last Reckoning to fill up all graveyards. The using our graveyard cards such as Necromancy, Animate Dead, Apprentice Necromancer and Reanimate to bring everything back and never let any creature go to waste in death.

And some of you may ask, why Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. Because commander is a place of love and weird cards. And in such a competitive deck, it's nice to have something to make everyone at the table just laugh. Plus most people shrug him off as not a threat, so getting to his ultimate is actually not that difficult.

Got here from your forum post...thoughts...

Kaervek the Merciless, Arc Blade, Palace Siege, Phthisis, Cryptolith Fragment  Flip can all be interesting/good-ish, as well as Creeping Dread, Pyromancy and Sin Prodder if you add a little recursion. I'm also a fan of cards like Sulfuric Vortex, Forsaken Wastes, Everlasting Torment, and/or Erebos, God of the Dead in these kind of decks...

hope this helps, gl & hf

Even if you are going aggro, a lot of these cards are not so great. Like...I like Bolt because damage for walkers is generally good, but Shock is bad.

I would cut Inquisition of Kozilek, Thoughtseize, Shock, Exquisite Firecraft, Smugglers Copter, Fourth Bridge Prowler, Mardu Shadowspear, Monsastery Swiftspear, Rakdos Shred-Freak, Satyr Firedancer, Gonti's Machinations. All these are generally weak and low impacts. IoK/Thoughtseize are targetted 1 for 1 discard, which isn't so great if you've got 2 other people to face down. Shock and Firecraft are low impact as burn and removal and better replaced by actual removal or scaling burn spells. Copter is generally smaller than most of your creatures. Prowler, Shadowspear and Swiftspear, sHREDFREAK are all low impact who just get chummed and die. Firedancer doesn't do a lot with limited burn. Gontis is just a gain 9 life, as you have no way to use energy.

I would also like to point out you have limited ways to cast Endbringer, or activate the ability on Dread Defiler, as none of your lands tap for colourless. All you have is a Sol Ring. I can give you more advice on lands later?

Personally, in EDH, I am a fan of punisher aggro. Normal aggro is rather difficult when you have to get 3 people from 40 to 0. Punisher on the other hand, lets you chip away, play political etc. Vial Smasher the Fierce is a good example of a punisher aggro card. I would be focusing on cards that provide a lot of damage for their cost. Anathemancer for example, hits people late game for a ton especially if they are 4-5c or playing lots of none basics. Mogis is a source of consistant damage which is hard to remove.

Or, if you want to take it another way, play big RB Psudoramp, using cheat into play effects such as reanimator, your commanders ability, and sources of repeatable cheap damage, to use Rakdos to reduce the costs on them all. This strat can work quite well with Eldrazi in paticular, as I notice you have a lot of Eldrazi in the deck.

Hey @Retile1234, I came here from your post on the Advertise your EDH deck thread. First of all, I like the list you put together. I can't talk too much about the creatures you chose to include in the deck because I've never played Rakdos before. However, I've a fair amount of experience playing EDH (casually and competitively) and the one thing I feel your deck is missing is a way to disrupt your opponent's game plan. In black, this can take the form of hand disruption (thoughtseize, duress, etc.) and resource denial (contamination, infernal darkness). In red, disruption will take the form of resource denial through land and mana rock destruction. I see that you are already running jokul but since most of your mana base is composed of basic lands, I'd suggest adding Ruination, Blood Moon, and Magus of the Moon. The latter even curves nicely with your commander: t3 magus, t4 attack with magus, then cast commander. What do you think?

I literally just Upvoted this deck just because you included Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. He's one of my favorite Planeswalkers just because he's so overlooked. Especially in Naya Superfriends where you crack off his ultimate the turn he enters.
