Looking for help trying to improve this deck, I've only been playing it for around 2 weeks and won the second FNM I played it in. The deck was built with two idea's in mind, let's be as fast as possible and make it able to be specifically good against black based control.

I knew I wanted a red based deck to get the speed I was looking for. But how do we optimize it for the black match-up? This meant making the deck resistant to removal in some way. Xathrid Necromancer is the core of this idea.

The two matchups I've struggled with so far are burn and mono-blue. Against burn, it all comes down to if they hit the helix without me skullcracking in response. Without the life gain I've outraced them in most cases, The mono-blue match-up is a similar situation with Master of Waves. If I hit my Doom Blade or Slaughter Games him it's an easy win, otherwise I get steamrolled by him.
