Maybeboard

Good ol' Radha, Heir to Keld. Especially with the newer printings people over look Heir to Keld. Started out as Mina and Denn, but I got sick of just trying to hit landfalls and profit. I wanted something quicker and more punishing, but Ruric thar or Borborygmos feel best when built as combo or staxy which doesnt feel that much fun, or at least not what I want from a R/G deck. GRUUL SMASH. I am hoping to get to something that can be explosive and put on pressure quickly but then even if I get hated out can have some comeback potential through stuff like valakut, or just Clan's defiance for lethal, ect. While not as flashy or as overtly powerful a card as newer versions or other R/G commanders I do find her very effective. What makes Radha a good commander is that she is almost 100% of the time an 8th card in your hand at the start of the game. While that is true of all commanders often you will need other cards to make your commander "turn on" or they aren't useful till later. Radha conversely can always be cast on T2 provide a 4th mana of T3. This does two things, firstly, she takes the place of any T2 mana ramp card be that something like Nature's lore or artifacts like talismans and signets, you dont need to run any cards like that signets or lore and because of, instead, you can run higher value cards like Skyshrouds claim or Explosive vegetation. Secondly, because of being able to build around these 4cc ramp spells instead of cheaper ones you get the advantage of very explosive starts but also the pseudo card advantage of the ramp spells. Since they're pretty much all 2 for 1s you get actual card advantage but also you get the added benefit of pulling not one but two lands out of your deck coupled with not having many two drop you think your deck each time you cast one. This means later in the game you can more reliably draw gas later instead of drawing a gruul signet, even if you get an explosive vegetation youre pulling two cards out of your deck and increasing your chances of drawing a more powerful card next turn.

From there, you can build one of two ways, either you piggy back off the your ramp into mana doubling or cards like Summoning trap or See the unwritten and drop eldrazi titans or something like Blightsteel colossus or what I have done, which is build around 6-7 drop powerful creatures because you can almost always hit start dropping them on T4, earlier enough to really disrupt combo decks if need be or start turning sideways on control decks while out pacing other creature based midrage or aggressive decks. There are probably a ton of creatures that would work in a deck like this but I have built around cards that have immediate impact on the board. That means either haste or ETBs. This means even if other players kill them you will be netting value out of them. It is of course also important with any aggressive creature deck to be either to go wide or tall without overextending and being blanked by a board wipe.

Combos: Aggravated assault/Hellkite charger + Sword of feast and famine/Bear umbra, Savage ventmaw gets you infinite combat phases. Kiki jiki + zealous conscripts is of course infinite creatures with haste, very get able with Tooth and nail
