Pursuit of Immortality (Modern MTG Deck)

The goal is, of course to win with Laboratory Maniac, but what really made me want to make this deck was Immortal Coil. The idea is to mill yourself out, using Immortal Coil to absorb damage and provide instant card draw. Splash in a few fun Delve cards like Tombstalker, also Grim Discovery + Terramorphic Expanse to return creatures and fetch more lands, and Rakshasa's Disdain to counter anything. Perhaps it's too slow. Psychic Spiral will actually kill me if Immortal Coil is out, but it's a sweet surprise win condition if used right. Mirror of Fate is useful for a quick reduction in my library while retrieving the beat of the cards I exiled with Delve or Immortal Coil.

And there you have it, the kid of quirky deck I love.

And ideally, one that won't ruin my bank account; I own half of these cards already.

I spy a new Core Set — June 25, 2018

I recently noticed a wonderful new card in Core 2019- Stitcher's Supplier. I swapped him in for Balustrade Spy and tweaked a few numbers. Mirror of Fate is back as well- the ability to flip my whole deck into exile in one go is to good to pass, plus I could rescue a few important cards from exile in the process.
