Hostility is a great combo with purphoros. Basically it doubles all burn spells.
Hostility doesn't double, it triples. For every 1 point of damage, create a 3/1 token which swings for 3 immediately. It unfortunately also doesn't work here because it refers to "spells" not permanents like creatures. So only instants or sorceries work
Ok, you don't have to actually cast creatures to trigger your boss so I'm gonna say Elemental Mastery on a big creature is a game winner. Warbreak Trumpeter and Orochi Hatchery would be nice also. Invader Parasite too. Maybe Umbilicus or Cloudstone Curio to keep recasting your token popping ETB's
Thank you for your pieces of advice #Carpecanum. I really like Umbilicus and Invader Parasite! I'll try to put them :)
Hey I recently made a deck with the same ideas. Ended up making an artifact deck out of it though! Check it out and feel free to comment! Thanks
. +1 to you
Also, why not Keldon Firebombers ?
This deck is super sweet. I hope it plays well. +1
Drop 10 3/1 creatures to now do 20 damage off of Purphoros to all players.. I will be putting that in my deck!
To start Trading Post . I originally had it in mine. But either of those is better.
Not to add more options but think about Coat of Arms with your goblin theme.
I think if you are looking for cuts, you should cut some of the burn spells. Purphoros, God of the Forge is already doing this for you.
If I was going to keep some burn in, it would be stuff like Molten Disaster , Earthquake , Comet Storm , Inferno , Fault Line because you can use that stuff as board wipes. Stuff like Red Sun's Zenith , Demonfire , Banefire , Devil's Play and other Fireball s are just bad in multiplayer in my opinion.
Oh, also, I just remembered Grinning Ignus , which will do very much the same job as Norin the Wary . Once Ignus is down, you pay 1 to bounce and cast again; you can do this as many times as you need to.
dominicd Hostility works with BURN spells but not with Purphoros which is what I was responding to. Reading Hostilities text says, "Any spell" or any non-permanent. Purphoros is a permanent. Hence, Hostilities effect doesn't trigger.
Dude, mclarenf1boi, Hostility works like this: Play Earthquake for x = 10, you get 30 3/1 hastes. Purphoros, God of the Forge does 60 damage to each opponent. If anyone is still alive you mob them for 90 with your 3/1 hastes.
dominicd You are completely right. I misinterpreted what you were trying to say, you're saying the tokens trigger purphoros' effect and thats where the damage comes from. My apologies for the error and thank you for explaining.
No prob, mclarenf1boi. Sorry for not being clear earlier.
