0. Introduction

Welcome everyone to my Purphoros, God of the Forge-Deck. This deck originates from my tuned precon Prossh, Skyraider of Kher-Deck. After playing Prossh for a long time, I figured out, that my favorite thing about this deck was to bring out as many tokens as possible and kill everyone with Purphoros or Impact Tremors or similar Cards.

So I scavanged my Prossh deck and came up with this Purphoros list. It aims to be very budget besides Magus of the Moon. I think even in this budget version it will be able to burn my oponents very early and even if I don't win it will most likely shorten a lot of games significantly.

1. General Plan

The general Plan of this deck is to bring out Purphoros asap and then drop as many creatures as possible per turn.This deck is easy to pilot, but hard to master (at least that's what I belief). Goldfishing this deck, I managed to do turn 5/6 kills.

Cards that double our damage output come in handy.

2. Win-Conditions

Show

Basically anything that throws enough creatures on the board to go for lethal damage at the given point is considered a win-condition, that's why I only will elaborate some of my card choices and combos.

• Mogg Infestation + Pyromancer's Goggles

  This combo is too good to be true. If you already have 5 or more creatures on the board, you're going for 60 points of damage here, as you'll put 30 creatures on the board and that's not even considering having a damage doubler or a impact tremors on the board.

• Panharmonicon

  This new treasure from Kaladesh really shines in a Purphoros deck. In most other decks it's mostly a win-more card or even dead in specific situations. But in our deck it just doubles our damage output and combined with creatures that bring tokens on etb it is even more bonkers.
